Starting a business or nonprofit takes a massive amount of action and effort, and if it’s just you in the beginning, you’re going to be busy. While we’ll never be able to have more than 24 hours in a day, what we can do is find ways to use our given time more efficiently.

Productivity is the art and science of working more efficiently and effectively. This isn’t about hustle culture and working yourself to the bone – instead it’s focused on finding ways to work smarter, not harder, so that we can maximize the time and effort that we put into our endeavors. Everyone has a preferred work style and rhythm, so some of these productivity tools may end up not being helpful for you, and that’s ok. Find the ones that do keep you organized and improve your efficiency and stick with those.

Fortunately there are many great productivity tools out there that are free! We’ve included those along with some other great paid ones. Productivity is a huge and growing field, so we’ll continue to update this list as we find more tools for you.
